Unique Desire Of Siddiq Al-Akbar

Sayyiduna Imam Muhammad Ibn-e-Sirin عَلَیْہِ رَحمَۃُ اللہِ القَوِی states, ‘When Sayyiduna Siddiq Al-Akbar رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ was going towards the cave with the Embodiment of Nur, the Comforter of the Souls, the Holy Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم, he رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ would sometimes walk in front of the Blessed Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم and sometimes behind. The Noble Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم asked, ‘Why are you doing this?’ He رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ replied, ‘When I think about those who are searching for us, I move behind you, and when I think about the hidden enemies waiting to ambush, I move in front of you, so that no harm can reach you.’ The Guide to the Path of Salvation, the Master of Madinah, and the Beloved Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم then asked, ‘In case of danger, would you prefer to die before me in my place?’ He replied, ‘By Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ! This is my only desire.’
