This
narration of Hakim as reported by Sha’abi
is as follows, ‘What can we expect from this wretched world, in which even the
Prophet of Allah صَلَّی اللہُ
تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم was given poison as was Siddiq
Al-Akbar رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ.’
(Tarikh-ul-Khulafa,
p. 62)
There is no
contradiction in any of the above narrations [regarding the cause for the
passing of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr رَضِیَ اللہُ
تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ] and
it was in fact the combination of those three factors which led to his passing.
(Nuzha-tul-Qari,
Vol. 2, p. 877)
Dear Islamic
brothers! Indeed, the love of this world is blind. It was because of the love
of this wretched world that the Blessed and Beloved Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم and his greatest companion
Siddiq
Al-Akbar رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ were given poison. When
the despicable dogs of this wretched world even plotted to give poison to the
best of all creation i.e. the Noble Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہِ وَسَلَّم, then who is there that can consider
himself protected from this?
Therefore, Islamic
scholars and religious leaders must be particularly careful and cautious. Lost
in the love of this cursed world, some vile individual poisoned Sayyiduna Imam Hasan
Mujtaba رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ with poison, and
eventually it was the poison that became the cause of his passing. Moreover,
Sayyiduna Bishr Ibn-e-Bara رَضِیَ اللہُ
تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ,
Sayyiduna
Imam Ja’far Sadiq رَحْمَۃُ اللہِ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہ, Sayyiduna
Imam Musa Kazim رَحْمَۃُ اللہِ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہ, Sayyiduna Imam ‘Ali Raza
رَحْمَۃُ اللہِ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہ and
Sayyiduna Imam-e-A’zam Abu Hanifah رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ also passed away because of having been
poisoned.
