Madani Pearls About Recitation The Holy Quran (21/21)

On completion of the recitation of the full Holy Quran, after reciting Surah An-Nas, recite Surah Al-Fati ah and Surah Al-Baqarah up to وَاُولٓئِکَ ھُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ, and then make Du’a [supplication], because this is Sunnah. In this respect, Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah Bin ‘Abbas رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا has reported from Sayyiduna Ubayy Bin Ka’b رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ, ‘When the Merciful Prophet ﷺ would recite قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ he would start Surah Al-Fati ah, then Surah Al-Baqarah up to ‘وَاُولٰٓئِکَ ھُمُ للْمُفْلِحُوْنَ, and then after asking the Du’a [supplication] for the completion of the recitation of the full Quran, he would quit.’
