It Is Said That there was a rich old man who apparently had nobody in the World. He had become irritable grumpy and rude due to peoples bad behavior and being lonely. One day a poor child who was collecting garbage passed through the old mans house. When he saw the old man he smiled and greeted him. When he Saw the old man he smiled and greeted him. The old man who had probably not seen a single smile inverse The old man who had probably not seen a single smile in years, was pleasantly surprised. A drop of this child's smile today had fertilized the old mans barren heart. He called the kid and asked him the reason for his smile the child said. My mother often tells me this saying of the Holy Prophet ﷺ That:
"You cannot please people with your wealth
but your smile and politeness can make them happy."
The old man was delighted and gave a gift to the child. And then every day the child would smile and say salam to the old man while passing through there and sometimes would sit with him for a while as well until one day a lawyer came to the child's house and said:
"That old man has died today and has left all his property to the child and has written in his will that its payment has been made in advance through a few smiles."
Try to make a habit of smiling as per the situation as this is a part of good manners and a Sunnah of the Holy Prophet as well. Who knows This smile of yours may cause to end someones despair and grant them a second life.
